Baazigar (Gambler ) is a 1993 
Indian crime thriller film directed by 
Abbas – Mustan starring Shah Rukh Khan 
and Kajol in lead roles. It is a 
contemporary thriller about a young man 
who stops at nothing to get what he wants. 
This was Shah Rukh Khan's breakthrough 
role as the sole lead and Kajol's first 
commercial success. [2] Actress Shilpa 
Shetty was supposed to debut with film 
Gaata Rahe Mera Dil , however, the film 
remained unreleased and this was her 
debut movie. [3] Baazigar was the first film 
in which Shah Rukh Khan played the role of 
an anti-hero [4] and also the first film which 
earned Khan a Filmfare Award for Best 
Actor. [5] Initially Salman Khan was the first 
choice to play the lead in the film. [6][7] 
Baazigar was a major commercial success 
at the time of its release[8][2] and the first 
film of the famous Shahrukh Khan-Kajol 
pair. [9] The film was remade in Tamil as 
Samrat with Ramki , in Telugu as Vetagadu 
with Rajasekhar and in Kannada as 
Nagarahavu with Upendra . The film brought 
actors Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Shilpa 
Shetty and composer Anu Malik to the 
limelight. It is a remake of the 1991 
Hollywood film A Kiss Before Dying .

The film was officially announced in early 2010, with filming scheduled to begin in later that year. Sequel 
 
About a sequel(Don 3 in 2019), Shahrukh Khan said: "It would be great to revisit Don after sometime. I’ve told Farhan that we could take 60 days out of our schedule and make a Don 3. But we need a script first, one that could take the last 10 minutes of Don 2 forward to another differently exciting thriller." Farhan Akhtar also expressed a desire to take the story forward, and said he was fascinated by the character of Don. However, the filmmaker wanted to explore other genres without restriction and added that he was currently focusing on his acting career. In August 2014, It is reported that Farhan Akhtar is planned to play a role in the film. In October 2015, director Farhan Akhtar said that Don 3 will go on floors by late 2016. However, the film is at scripting stage. It has also been reported that Katrina Kaif will replace Priyanka Chopra in the next installment But the makers denied it stating that the only constant in the third installment will be Don and the rest of the characters will be dependent on the script.

Happy New Year (sometimes abbreviated as HNY) is a 2014 Indian action comedy drama film directed by Farah Khan and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The film has an ensemble cast, which includes Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff. The film was distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films. The film marked a third collaboration of Khan with the director; they previously worked on <a href="/search?q=Main%20Hoon%20Na">Main Hoon Na</a> (2004) and <a href="/2007/11/om-shanti-om.html">Om Shanti Om</a> (2007), the latter of which also featured Padukone as the female lead. 
 
 
The film was released on Diwali, 24 October 2014 in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in around 5000 screens in India, the biggest release for a Hindi film in India. The film received negative reviews from critics, but was a commercial success and ranks among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences features the film's script in their library. The film is also being remade into Telugu as Merupu.

The director later bought the rights and conceived his adaptation as an homage to the original film and its cast and crew, and to the 1970s era in general. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (English: The Big-Hearted Will Take Away the Bride), also known by the initialism DDLJ, is an Indian romance film written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash
Chopra. Released on 20 October 1995, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan and
Kajol. The plot revolves around Raj and Simran, two young non-resident
Indians, who fall in love during a vacation through Europe with their
friends. Raj tries to win over Simran's family so the couple can
marry, but Simran's father has long since promised her hand to his
friend's son. The film was shot in India, London and Switzerland, from
September 1994 to August 1995. Earning ₹1.06 billion (valued at about
US $32,766,000 in 1995) in India and ₹ 160 million (valued at about US$4,946,000 in 1995) overseas, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge became the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year, and one of the most successful films of all time in India. It won 10 Filmfare Awards, the
most for a single film at that time, and won the National Film Award
for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Its
soundtrack album became one of the most popular of the 1990s.
 
 Many critics praised the film, which connected with different segments
of society by simultaneously promoting strong family values and the
following of one's own heart. Its success led other film makers to
target the non-resident Indian audience, which was deemed more
lucrative for them. It spawned many imitations of its story and style,
and homages to specific scenes. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was one of
only three Hindi films in the reference book 1001 Movies You Must See
Before You Die, and was placed twelfth on the British Film Institute's list of top Indian films of all time. It is the longest-running
film in the history of Indian cinema. As of 2015, almost 20 years
after its first release, it is still being shown at the Maratha Mandir
theatre in Mumbai.

Chamatkar ( Hindi: चमत्कार, Translation: Miracle) is a Hindi ghost comedy movie which was directed by Rajiv Mehra and released in India in 1992. It cast Naseeruddin Shah and Shah Rukh Khan in pivotal roles. Rajiv Mehra chose to work again with Khan in the future Ram Jaane. The film was quite popular among kids but was a commercial failure. The plot of the movie is similar to the American film Blackbeard's Ghost.

Om Shanti Om is a 2007 Indian supernatural romantic film co written,
choreographed and directed by Farah Khan. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and
debutant Deepika Padukone in the lead roles while Arjun Rampal,
Shreyas Talpade, and Kirron Kher feature in supporting roles. More
than forty-two well-known Hindi movie stars appear in the course of
the film, including thirty of them (not including the stars of the film) in one song alone. The film is set in the 1970s and 2000s; it pays tribute to, and pokes fun at, the Indian film industry of both these eras.
 
 
The film was released in 2,000 prints worldwide making it the largest
Indian cinematic release at the time. Om Shanti Om was released on 9
November 2007 to universal acclaim from critics and record-breaking
box office collections. It grossed ₹1.50 billion worldwide and thus
became the highest-grossing Hindi film at the time of its release.</div>

Chennai Express is a 2013 Indian romantic action comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty, and produced by Gauri Khan for Red Chillies Entertainment. The film features Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles; it is the second collaboration between Khan and Padukone after <a href="/2007/11/om-shanti-om.html">Om Shanti Om (2007)</a>. The film is about a man's journey from Mumbai to Rameswaram, and what happens along the way after he falls in love with the daughter of a local don. Principal photography began on 27 September 2012, filming began in October 2012 and was completed by May 2013. 
 
Chennai Express was released in the overseas markets on 8 August 2013, and a day later in India. Extensive paid previews were held in India on 8 August as well. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it broke several box office records in India and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect ₹1 billion (US $15 million) net domestically. 
 
The film surpassed <a href="/2009/12/3-idiots.html">3 Idiots</a> to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide; a record it held until it was surpassed by <a href="/2013/12/dhoom-3.html">Dhoom 3</a> in December, 2013. According to Box Office India, Chennai Express currently ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide.

Tubelight is a 2017 Indian war drama film written and directed by Kabir Khan. The film is produced by Salman Khan  and Kabir Khan. Set in the 1962 <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-Indian_War">Sino-Indian War</a>, it stars Salman Khan in the lead role who plays a man from India. It is confirmed from the director that Shah Rukh Khan will play a cameo on the film. Julius Packiam and Pritam scored the music of the film, with the former composing the film score and latter composing the songs. The film released on 23 June 2017. It is an adaptation of the 2015 American filmLittle Boy.

Mohabbatein (Hindi: मोहब्बतें, English: Love Stories) is a 2000 Indian musical romantic drama film directed by Aditya Chopra. It was Chopra's second directorial venture after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and was filmed at India and the United Kingdom. 
The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles, along with six young debutantes. Aishwarya Rai appeared in flashbacks as Khan's lover. The film's soundtrack was composed by Jatin-Lalit, while the lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. The film is notable for being the first time that Bachchan and Khan appeared on-screen together. 
The film went on to do well both critically and commercially. Despite being the second highest grosser of the year domestically, it was the highest-earning Hindi film of 2000 overseas, and surpassed <a href="/2000/01/kaho-naa-pyaar-hai.html">Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai</a> as the top grosser worldwide. Devdas is a 2002 Indian romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and based on the 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay 's novel Devdas. This is the third Hindi version and the first film version of the story in Hindi done in colour. The film follows Devdas (Shah Rukh Khan), a wealthy law graduate in the early 1900s, who returns from his studies in London to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro (Aishwarya Rai). However, the rejection of this marriage by his own family sparks his descent into alcohol, ultimately leading to his emotional deterioration. The film was screened retrospective, during the 2014 International Film Festival of India in the Celebrating Dance in Indian cinema section. Devdas was declared a hit in India by Box Office India and won the Filmfare Award for Best Film. The film also won five National Awards and a further nine Filmfare Awards, tied with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge with the most Filmfare Awards any film had won at the time (later beaten in 2005 by Bhansali's Black). 
 
 
It was received well by western audiences alike and was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Language Film and was also India's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. It was ranked #74 in Empire magazines "The 100 Best Films Of World Cinema" in 2010. Time Magazine named Devdas as the best movie of 2002 among all the movies released around the world that year. The film was recently included in Time Magazine 's top 10 movies of the millennium worldwide. 
 
 
The acting was seen by many as the primary factor for the film's success, with Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit all winning Filmfare Awards for their performances. The film's success was also attributed to the dance performances, with Dixit's "Maar Daala" considered one of the most iconic of her career and the song " Dola Re Dola " becoming a hit due to the unique dance duet between Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit, two of the leading actresses of the epoch. At the time of its release, Devdas was the most expensive Bollywood film ever produced, with a reported budget of ₹ 50 crore (US$7.4 million). The film was 
a major commercial success in India and abroad, becoming the highest grossing Indian film of the year.
